Online Therapy

Our therapy practice is intentionally online because it aligns with our values of accessible and convenient mental health care. Online therapy allows us to meet the current demand for quality mental health care by removing barriers to therapy.

Therapy in a virtual setting has many advantages. It makes it easier for folks whose schedules don’t allow for commuting to/from a therapy office or for those who would prefer receiving care from the comfort of their home. College students who deserve continued support while at school and on breaks can rest assured that there won’t be a disruption in their care. Moreover, virtual therapy is beneficial for those who require specialized care not offered in their area, individuals with limited mobility, and those in rural communities.

Studies have consistently shown that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for a variety of mental health conditions. Stigmas that online therapy is somehow second-best to in-person therapy simply aren't rooted in research. The therapy field is growing and we are proud to be on the forefront. Most of our team has been delivering online therapy since 2017.

All of our sessions are held over HIPAA compliant video streams. This means that our services meet the rigorous standards for protecting your privacy and confidentiality. Additionally, all documentation is stored digitally in a HIPAA compliant platform. Our practice uses the SimplePractice platform for all sessions and documentation.

We use the same research-based treatments in online therapy that we have used in traditional office settings. We only use treatment approaches that have been deemed effective in alleviating symptoms. Whether you're in a traditional therapy office or in the comfort of your home, we believe that therapy should always meet the highest standards.
